Spring 2020 – Inverness
Update 13 March 2020 – We regret to announce that due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the meeting organisers and SRS council have decided to postpone the Spring 2020 meeting.
We still plan to have our Autumn meeting in Aberdeen in November 2020, and look to return to Inverness in Spring 2021.
The SRS 2020 Spring Meeting will be held on Friday 15 May 2020.
The meeting is in Inverness this year, and will be hosted at the Centre for Health Science, Inverness.
Attendance at this meeting is equivalent to 5 self-declared Royal College of Radiologists’ CPD points.
Speakers
The 2020 Allan Reid Interventional speaker is Dr Paul Burns, Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist from Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. His lecture will be on stroke and thrombectomy service development and delivery.
We are also welcoming Dr Vikas Shah from Leicester speaking on abdominal imaging and interactive cases. Dr Shah’s cases can be found on his Instagram (@thexraydoctor) with nearly 60k followers.
Other speakers will include Prof John Murchison (on interstitial lung disease), Dr Tom Blankenstein (on military imaging), Dr Ian Zealley (on medicolegal imaging) and Dr David Eason (on CT colonoscopy). We will also have Dr Jonathan Brodie from radiology being joined by Dr Peter Clarkson, cardiology consultant, both from Raigmore with interesting Highland cardiac MRI cases.
We have a number of trainee speakers also presenting their projects which the SRS has supported with travel bursaries.
