SRS Travelling Bursary

The SRS is committed to encouraging young radiologists to expand their knowledge through courses and meetings. Applications are welcome from registrars for funding towards educational meetings to present their research or similar activities. For ECR attendees, please see the Paul Allan Bursary. Bursaries will only be awarded to trainee members in good standing.
Three bursaries up to £500 each are offered annually to help trainees cover related expenses. The application window for this bursary is open September and October of each year. Trainees may receive a bursary up to once during their training.

• The bursary application form should be completed here (opens Google Form) or by clicking the button below.
• Information provided should include the project title, a copy of the accepted abstract, meeting where the work is being projected, projected cost of the journey and any other funding applied for / received.
• At the same time, an email to scotradofficial@gmail.com for the attention of the Society Secretary (Dr Anu Kamalasanan) should be sent including:
  • a recent CV
  • record of registration / attendance at the course / conference
  • any receipts for registration / travel / accommodation as required
• Successful applicants are expected to submit a report of the educational experience and present the study at the next SRS Spring Meeting.

Application window for this bursary is September and October of each year – applications outside of this window will not be considered.

2014 : Dr Daisy Mollison – attended a Harvard MRI/CT Update course on neuroradiology and a week long attachment in the neuroradiology department of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
